Connecting STEM Teachers Programme
The Connecting STEM Teachers (CST) programme was launched by the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng) in 2011 and aims to create a national network of support for teachers across all STEM subjects, ensuring they have the knowledge and confidence to engage a greater number and wider spectrum of school students with STEM.
During the 2014/2015 academic year there were 639 STEM teacher attendances at CPD Network meetings led by Teacher Coordinators. Meeting attendees reported that 32,985 pupils would benefit from the free training and resources provided. Despite this we would like to see many more students benefiting from the programme and this has led to the creation of the Bristol STEM Teachers Network.

Calling all Teachers!
To support the teaching of STEM in and around Bristol your two Teacher Coordinators (Sam and Terry) are now attempting to create a network of 15 secondary schools who will meet 3 times a year to network, share good practice, receive training and materials to help teachers go back to their schools and deliver a series of STEM activities for the benefit of their student communities. To be part of it book a free place at one of our events.
High Quality Resources Provided
To help make it easier to deliver STEM activities in schools Teacher Coordinators can provide membership schools with resources and support, All attending schools at CPD Network meetings will be able to take away a resources box with printed project materials, including lesson plans, workbooks and posters. Boxes also contain equipment and materials specific to each project to make delivery of the activity that little bit easier.
